The slow ride

A few things happened today on the way home.

DMV's Best:

Yep, I found a couple of them today... The first one was just after work. Pulled out into traffic and drove about a 1/4 mile to the light with no problems everyone was moving fine. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere I get cut off! And oh Yes, The lady who did it was kind enough to give me a wave, as though that makes it all better. Was there a reason for her cutting me off? Nope, she didnt need to turn at the next turn. She just Had to be in "my" lane Exactly at that point in time. Made sense to her I guess.

Then I had the pleasure of being cut off again at the bank. This was apparently not prepared for what she needed to do there. She first pulled into one of the teller lanes. Then as I was pulling into the ATM lane, She at that point in time decided she needed to be in the ATM lane. So she backed up, cut me off, pulled up next to the ATM and proceeded to grab an envelope. Great! You see, the problem I have here is this. I go to the bank prepared for what I have to do. I have my deposit filled out and ready to go and my card is in my visor for easy access. I dont make people wait for me to do my thing. If for some reason I am not ready. I grab an envelope and pull around so that the person behind me can get their stuff done. Anyway, she finally finished making her deposit and left, or so I thought. As I finished up making my deposit I noticed she was back in the teller line. Now, I'm no expert on banks but I think what ever she needed to do at the ATM could have been done at the teller in the first place. By the way, There are 3 teller lanes and all 3 were open with nobody waiting. So, what was the point of cutting me off?

Next there was the old man and his wife doing 50mph in the "fast" lane during rush hour. Speed limit is 60mph by the way. Not only was he doing that but he was also hitting his breaks for No Reason! None, Nada, Zilch! I couldnt pass him because everyone else was in the other lane passing us by or driving right beside me so I couldnt get by. And there was someone on my ass at the same time. So by the time I was able to get past him I was pretty much home. So that was my drive home. Exciting.

And here is one on me. Yesterday due to road construction on my normal route. I had to take a detour. I've taken this road a few times in the past so I dont really have any excuse, but I was tired and not paying close attention. I almost ended up going the wrong way. (as in the wrong side of the road) You see, this road is your standard 2 way street until you get to the light. At that point there is all of a sudden an island divider. No clear signage and the lines on the road are old and faded. So I hit the brakes and turned real quick to avoid hitting the island. So thats it. My very own "Dee De Dee" moment.
